The Rt Rev Peter St George Vaughan was the Suffragan Bishop of Ramsbury from 1989 until 1998.[1]
He was born on 27 November 1930 [2] and educated at Charterhouse and Selwyn College, Cambridge before embarking on an ecclesiastical career with a curacy at Birmingham Parish Church after which he was Vicar of Galle Face then Precentor of Holy Trinity Cathedral, Auckland. Following this he was Principal of the Church Mission Society College at Selly Oak and then (his final appointment before elevation to the Episcopate) Archdeacon of Westmorland.[3] In retirement he continues to serve the Church as an Assistant Bishop within the Diocese of Gloucester.[4]
